    Meet Mrs. Daniel
    mrs d
It is such a pleasure to have your child in my class this year! Here is a little information about me. I currently live in Leesburg with my husband Kevin, and our son two sons, Collin-6 & Jack - 2, and our Dachshund named Bean.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, reading a good book, and getting an espresso at Peet's Coffee or Starbucks.  I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I completed teaching internships in both New Hanover County, North Carolina and abroad in the United Kingdom. I also hold a Master of Education degree from George Mason University, where my studies concentrated on integrating technology into the classroom.  I am current taking graduate courses to get my gifted certification.  I am excited to begin my 15th year of teaching 1st grade with Loudoun County Public Schools.  This is my 6th year as a Colt here at Creightons Corner Elementary.  Previously, I've taught 1st grade for at Horizon and Lowes Island Elementary, located in the Potomac Falls area.  I am thrilled to be back at the Corner this year.  I am so lucky to be part of such an exceptionally warm and supportive educational community.  I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child this upcoming year.

First grade is a fun, challenging and important year for students. They
will learn many of the fundamental skills that will guide their future education. Your child will be part of an interactive, hands-on learning community that is mindful of each child’s individual needs. It is my goal to develop instruction that facilitates the academic, social and emotional growth of
    each student.

I am looking forward to working with all of you. There will be
plenty of volunteer opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. Extra adult interaction in the classroom is not only very rewarding for the children, but also is essential for a successful year. The volunteer
schedule is very flexible and open-ended. I encourage you to get involved! Please feel free to contact me either at school (703.957.4480) or by email (Jennifer.Daniel@lcps.org) with any questions or concerns you may have.  I am eager to work with you and your child and get the year started off right!
    Jennifer Daniel
