• Chrissie Haller - Second Grade

I currently hold a Bachelors of Arts in English and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction both from George Mason University. In my spare time, I like to scrapbook and read mystery novels. I am entering my 14th year in Loudoun County Public Schools and my 9th year teaching.

I live in Leesburg with my husband, two daughters, Sophie and Natalie, and my three cats Winston, Ace, and Tinkerbell. I grew up in Loudoun County living in Ashburn from the time that I was in first grade until I graduated High School at Broad Run. I like to find time to be silly every day and laugh everyday. In my class we learn, but we also like to have fun.

I look forward to this upcoming year and cannot wait to share my enthusiasm for learning with my students! This year I look foward to seeing our leadership grow as a school and in our classroom. One of the things I like to focus on every year, is continuing to grow as a teacher and an individual. My goal for this year, is to use technology more often in the classroom. We were off to a good start last year with iMovie and Chatterpix, but I would like to set a goal to use technology at least three times a week in my classroom. One of the ways I would like to do that, is to learn how to use Google Classroom for reading and writing centers, and maybe some activities at home. What is your goal for the year?
