    Jennifer Ewing is starting her eighth year as the principal of Horizon Elementary School.  She began her career in Loudoun County at Horizon, serving nine years as the school's assistant principal.  This is her sixteenth year working with the Horizon Comet Community.  Her education career spans twenty-three years and two states. She has taught third and fourth grade in Virginia and North Carolina. She even taught at the elementary school she attended as a child, Baldwin Elementary School, home of the Rockets!  

    Prior to coming to Loudoun County, she worked in Manassas City Schools where she was not only a classroom teacher, but also Summer School Principal, After School Remediation Coordinator, Grade Level Chair and the Representative on Safe and Secure Schools.

    Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Lynchburg College and her Master’s of Education in School Administration from Liberty University. She has completed over 30 credits of coursework toward a Doctorate in School Administration Program from Shenandoah University.  

    Jennifer is married.  She and her husband, Michael, have boy/girl twins, Grant and Addison.  Their children will be in third grade this year at Lucketts Elementary School.  She is busy both at home and at school; but in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
