Bachelor of Science Degree Elementary Education

Stacy Parker

Welcome back!  I am looking forward to teaching 4th grade again this year. It will be my eighth year as a Legacy Lab; here at Legacy, I  taught 3rd grade for five years, and this will be my third year teaching 4th grade. I previously taught 3rd grade at nearby Hillside Elementary for five years.  I'm thrilled to get to know my new group of Labs in person! I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Governors University.  It will be an exciting year and I look forward to exploring and growing with my students.

I grew up in Loudoun County and attended Arcola Elementary, Simpson Middle School, and Loudoun County High School.  I currently live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with my husband of 30 years, and two of our three amazing children. (Our oldest has a place of her own.) Lauren(25) is a dispatcher with Loudoun County Fire & Rescue 911.  Erin(22) is working on her degree and is currently a dental assistant, and my son John(19) is working on his undergraduate/masters degree in education and is planning on becoming a P.E. teacher.

During my free time, I enjoy going hiking, escaping to the beach, playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends.

We are going to have a lot of fun in 4th-grade this year and I am looking forward to the months to come. It is my mission to nurture a love of learning and discovery in my students, as well as a sense of responsibility and ownership. I believe in creating a supportive community of learners and strive for all students to find success in the classroom, both academically and personally. I am excited about working with you and your child this school year. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns. It's going to be an AMAZING year!
