Jessica Butler is excited about being in her role as librarian at Hillside Elementary School for a third year. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Delaware, she accepted a teaching assistantship and completed the Master of Arts program in Communication at U of D. She then spent time taking graduate courses at Cornell University before moving to Northern Virginia to work as a market researcher at a Public Relations firm. She has worked for LCPS for six years and completed a Master of Education in School Librarianship at Longwood University.

Mrs. Butler grew up in Brooklyn, New York and spent her high school years in New Jersey. She has lived in Loudoun County for 20 years. She loves to spend her time with her family and a Labradoodle named Finnegan. Her oldest daughter is a sophomore at George Washington University. Her youngest daughter is in middle school and plays bass guitar.

Mrs. Butler is a published author who has helped name a fruit and developed content for the website of a presidential candidate. She is a voracious reader who looks forward to meeting and supporting the Hillside community.  Email me HERE with any questions or concerns.

Mrs. Early is thrilled to be working in the library as an assistant librarian. She has worked at Hillside for the last eight years in the Special Education Department. She is married with a son and daughter, both of whom attended Hillside. Besides loving to read Mrs. Early enjoys spending time with her family at their cabin, hiking, and traveling. The best part of her day is when she gets to interact with the students when they come into the library.
