Mrs. Jenkins is super excited to be back teaching at Catoctin Elementary for the 2019-2020 school year.  This will be her 31st year of teaching, with over 25 of those years in 5th grade.  Mrs. Jenkins was born and raised in Painted Post, New York.  She attended SUNY Cobleskill for her AAS in Early Childhood Education, SUNY Cortland for her BS in Elementary Education, and HOOD College for her MA in Elementary School Math, Science, and Technology.
Mrs. Jenkins favorite thing to do outside of school is to spend time with her husband, two furry babies, her grandchildren, and her family.  Mrs. Jenkins likes to spend a lot of time on the Lake where her family has had a place for almost 100 years.  She spends a lot of time on/in the water, swimming, boating, and relaxing.  We were able to spend a lot of quality time at the "New Lake House" this past summer.  We lost our youngest rescue, Gunnar at 20 months old due to congential kidney failure.  Totally shocker to us, but our other two furry babies seem to be doing great!  Our young lady, Hershey at 17 is doing amazing and got a clean bill of health at the vet at the end of July.  Teddy, our very tall young man of 7, spent his summer floating by himself on a noodle trying to catch little blue gills!
Mrs. Jenkins is looking forward to starting a new school year in the same classroom as last year, and meeting all of her amazing new students!
