Mrs. Christiansen Steelers About Mrs.Christiansen Steelers
Mrs. Christiansen is thrilled to be teaching fourth grade at Hamilton Elementary.  Mrs. Christiansen is originally from Wheeling, West Virginia, (near Pittsburgh), where her family still resides.  She comes from a family of educators. Her mother,who retired last year, and grandmother were both preschool teachers, and her father taught middle and high school students. Presently, she lives in Stephenson with her husband, daughter, and son.
Mrs. Christiansen has a Bachelor of Science degree from Shepherd College and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Shenandoah University.  This is Mrs. Christiansen's thirteenth year teaching.  She taught fourth grade for eight years at Evergreen Mill Elementary before joining the Hamilton staff, where she taught fifth grade for two years and is starting her third year back in fourth.  Mrs. Christiansen was honored to be nominated for the Agnes Myer Outstanding Teacher award in 2009-2010. She has also been nominated to Who's Who Among America's Teachers.  In 2010, Mrs. Christiansen achieved National Board Certification.
