It is an honor to continue as principal at Hamilton Elementary School. I live in Charles Town, WV with my three sons and husband, Scott. I am originally from Rochester, NY and received my undergraduate degree from SUNY Fredonia.I am looking forward to another year of learning, fun and success for all! As always, our teachers are devoted to continuing strong instructional practices, keeping a focus on learning that encourages students to be problem solvers, and strive for deeper learning.
In addition to academic skills, we are proud of the additional focus we have at Hamilton on helping students create a habit of always monitoring their behavior in and out of school. We incorporate character education with our work in guidance lessons focusing on character traits, peer buddies, and guiding character of the month.
I encourage everyone to help students embrace mistakes as part of the learning process. Making mistakes and overcoming obstacles in learning are just part of the path to mastery. No matter where students consider themselves to be in terms of intellect and skill, with hard work and perseverance they can develop, grow and achieve.
Please know that I am here for each and every student. Please reach out if you ever have any questions throughout the school year.
