About Me: I am thrilled to share my passion for the Family & Consumer Sciences program.  From designing beautiful interiors and cooking healthy meals to developing your leadership skills and setting goals, I hope to inspire students to explore future careers in related fields.

I began teaching at Briar Woods in 2009. Originally from NJ, I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology with a study emphasis on Education from Stockton University. For over 20 years, I have lived in the DC Metro area with my three children.  Personally, I have a passion for photography, sewing/quilting, and interior design.

Today's F.A.C.S. program teaches practical life skills that are necessary for all students.  Skills that are taught include: cooking, budgeting, balancing a checkbook, running a professional meeting, how to build good credit, how to prepare for a job interview, how to work with children, how to become an active member of a community, and more. These universal skills will aid a student throughout their life, regardless of their occupation and career choices
