Technology at Guilford
Using technology in the classroom an integral part of education at Guilford. Students have access to at least three permanent laptops in their classroom, a grade-level cart of over 20 laptops, a Promethean Board, and at least four iPads per classroom. This adds up to over 400 total devices at Guilford. In Loudoun County Schools, technology is an integrated skill and activity. Computer activities are intended to be integrated with other content areas rather than function as a stand-alone discipline. Individual teachers are responsible for content integration and technology rich lessons.
As our society becomes ever dependent on technology, our goal is to model appropriate uses of technology to complete tasks across the curriculum in language arts, math, science, social studies and other disciplines. Throughout the school year, students will engage in a variety of technology-rich learning activities.
