The 2019-2020 school year is Mrs. Connally's fourteenth year teaching at FHR. She is looking forward to another great year in third grade. Mrs. Connally is a graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV. She enjoys spending time with her husband Dan, son Michael, and dog Rex!Mrs. Drude is so excited to begin the school year at FHR! Mrs. Drude earned her Masters in the Art of Teaching from James Madison University. She has been teaching third grade for six years and is looking forward to her seventh year! Mrs. Drude loves to read mystery books, cook delicious meals, and hike Virginia trails. She is looking forward to meeting her fabulous new third graders!
Mrs. Mott is so excited to be back at FHR in 3rd grade! Mrs. Mott attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She loved JMU so much that after graduating, she decided to stick around for another year to earn her Master's degree. This is Mrs. Mott's 7th year teaching, but her first year in 3rd grade. Mrs. Mott loves reading, lounging with her Chocolate Lab, Bell, spending time outdoors, and being with her family. She is looking forward to an amazing year!Mrs. Miller is excited to begin the new school year on the 3rd grade team at FHR! She has been teaching since 2005. She has taught Full-day Kindergarten, Third Grade, and Fifth Grade in Fairfax County Public Schools. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Shepherd University in December of 2004, where she was also captain of the volleyball team. She and her husband live in Leesburg with their three children. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, especially volleyball, spending time playing outside with her children, reading, going to National’s games, and going to the beach! Mrs. Miller can't wait to meet her new third graders!
Mrs. Poole is happy to be returning to FHR for her 2nd year. She is excited to be joining the 3rd grade team. She taught 4th grade last year and previously taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Fairfax County. Mrs. Poole holds Bachelors degree from Roanoke College, and a Masters of Education from Marymount University. She grew up in Fairfax County and recently moved to Loudoun County with her husband. In her free time, she loves to hang out with family and friends, play with her Westie puppy (Mazie), read, and travel. Mrs. Poole is looking forward to meeting her new third graders!
Ms. Turner is a Loudoun County native and Broad Run High School graduate where she was a teacher cadet. She went on to become a pirate at East Carolina University in NC where she received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. Ms. Turner loves dogs, going to the beach and lake, tons of outdoor activities, and cheering on her ECU Pirates and all the local Washington D.C. sports teams! Ms. Turner is very excited to get to know her new third graders!
