MEET OUR FIRST GRADE TEAM
MS. ERIN DONOVAN: Ms. Donovan is very excited to be a part of the first grade team here at FHR! This is her first year at FHR, but her fourth year teaching first grade! Ms. Donovan is very excited to be teaching in the county that she received her education in! She is a Leesburg native and attended Loudoun County Public Schools growing up. Ms. Donovan played soccer, basketball and ran track here in Loudoun. She attended Shenandoah University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. When she is not in the classroom, you can find her baking or cooking, watching movies, reading and spending time with family, friends and her two cats! Ms. Donovan is excited to make this a great year for your fabulous first graders!
MRS. KAYLA LAMBERT: Mrs. Lambert is excited to be back at FHR! She lives in Ashburn with her husband and son, Linc. Mrs. Lambert received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, then went to the University of Virginia for her Master of Teaching degree, but she's still a Hokie at heart. She loves all sports (Go Packers, Nats, and Caps) and being outside. In the summer she loves wake boarding and relaxing at Smith Mountain Lake, in the winter she loves snowboarding and anything else in the snow. Mrs. Lambert is looking forward to getting to know your first graders!
MS. CHELSIE LOVELESS: This is Ms. Loveless' first year at FHR and she is very excited to join the FHR family. She is a Loudoun native and graduated from Loudoun Valley High School. She then went on to get her BS in Early Childhood Education from Shippensburg University and a Masters degree in Literacy Education from WVU. This will be her 8th year teaching. She has been teaching in Washington County, MD. for the last 7 years. She taught 3 years of Reading Intervention, a year of Kindergarten and 3 years of Pre-K. During her free time, Ms. Loveless loves to be outdoors and on the water, whether it be on a pool, a lake, the beach or just the river. She also enjoys hanging out with her two dogs, Sam and Hazel and her cat, Douglas, in her small farmhouse in West Virginia.
MRS. ASHLEY ROUCHARD: Mrs. Rouchard is excited to be officially joining the first grade team at FHR this year! This will be her 6th year at FHR. She was a resource teacher during her first five years at FHR, working with K-2 students. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Mount St. Mary’s University and also holds an endorsement for special education through VDOE. She is in the process of obtaining her Masters degree as a Reading Specialist at Averett University online. Mrs. Rouchard was raised in Maryland but now lives in West Virginia with her husband and almost 2-year old daughter, Sophie. When not teaching, Mrs. Rouchard enjoys spending time with family, listening to music, and singing.
MRS. HEATHER SALBERG: Mrs. Salberg has been an FHR Raven since 2013! She has her BA in K-8 education with an emphasis in math from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota and her MEd. in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University in Virginia. Before coming to FHR she taught for nine years in Minnesota. Mrs. Salberg has taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. She LOVES teaching 1st grade! When she is not teaching Mrs. Salberg enjoys spending time with her family (husband and two sons), reading, and watching football (Go Vikings ~ SKOL!). Mrs. Salberg is looking forward to another great year at FHR!
MRS. CINDY VANDER MOLEN: Mrs. Vander Molen joined the First Grade Team at FHR in 2011. She has a BA in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Language Arts from William Paterson University. Before coming to FHR she taught First Grade at Lowes Island Elementary for six years. Mrs. V. also taught for thirteen years in Northern New Jersey. Although she has had experience in many different grade levels, First Grade is her favorite! When she's not teaching she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, reading, cooking, watching movies, and cheering on her favorite teams the NJ Devils, NY Yankees, and NY Giants. Mrs. V. is looking forward to another super year teaching First Grade at Frances Hazel Reid!
