Mrs. Testa has a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Susquehanna University.  Upon graduation she accepted a teaching position with Loudoun County Public Schools where she taught for five years.  She married and relocated to Virginia Beach where she taught for a total of ten years.  In the fall of 2003 her family returned to Loudoun County and she happily returned to teaching in the Loudoun County Public School system.  In 2007 Mrs. Testa began teaching at Evergreen Mill Elementary in the capacity of the full time music teacher.  Mrs. Testa completed her Level III Orff Certification at George Mason University.  In addition, she has completed two levels of World Music Drumming and Level I GAMA Guitar Course.
This past summer, Mrs. Testa completed First Steps in Music Training at GMU.  Mrs. Testa is an active member of the Music of the Valley Orff Chapter and the Feierabend Association for Music Educators.  I look forward to working with  all the champions at Evergreen Mill.

“Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.”  ― Shinichi Suzuki
