                         Beth Andres, M.Ed.
                        Reading Specialist & Literacy Coach

    Ms. Andres is currently in her twenty-ninth year of teaching.  2023-2024 will bring Ms. Andres to being a reading specialist in LCPS for 24 years. Prior to coming to LCPS, Ms. Andres, a Pittsburgh native, taught Pre-K at Shenandoah University and was a Title I teacher in Warren County, VA. Currently, Ms. Andres is a reading specialist and literacy coach at Evergreen Mill and reading specialist at Tolbert Elementary. 

     Ms. Andres holds a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education, from IUP, and a Master’s Degree in Education as a Reading Specialist, from Shenandoah University. Ms. Andres also holds Reading Recovery Certification from George Mason University, Ortin-Gillingham Certification, earning graduate credits from Adams University, and LETRS Certification, earning graduate credits from American College of Education. She has attended Columbia University's Teacher College, as well as, earned graduate credits towards completing her ELL Certification. Ms. Andres continues taking graduate classes to stay current in the educational field, most recently through UVA.

      When not teaching, Ms. Andres enjoys spending quality time with her 4 children, and her Westie-Poo.  She also enjoys spending time visiting family in Pittsburgh, reading, cooking, boating and swimming at Deep Creek Lake, and, of course, her Starbucks coffee runs.
