Ginger Walley - 2nd Grade
The 2022-2023 school year marks my twenty-fifth year teaching young children and my tenth year teaching second grade. I have previously taught third grade for a year and first grade for seven years here at Evergreen Mill, making this my eighteenth year being a Python. Before coming to Evergreen Mill Elementary School, I taught full-day kindergarten in Orlando, Florida for two years and taught first grade at Lowes Island Elementary School in Loudoun County for five years. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!!!) and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialization from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!!!). I also have my EL (English Learners) certification. I am extremely dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and fun learning environment for my students, while working to differentiate instruction to meet their individual needs.
When I'm not busy teaching, I'm busy being a mom to Madi and Aiden. Madi graduated from Loudoun County High School last year, and is currently attending NOVA. Aiden is a sophomore at LCHS this year. As a parent, I was very blessed to have my kids spend their elementary years at Evergreen Mill. My husband, Brian, and I have been married for 22 years. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, laughing with my friends, joyriding in my Bronco, listening to live music, having backyard fires, enjoying lake days, and hanging with our dog, Harley.
