Carolyn Peterson - 3rd Grade
This year begins my 25th year of teaching elementary school! I graduated from Longwood College (Yes, when it was still a college not a University) with a B.S. in Education, and earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Shenandoah University. I began my career in Brunswick County, VA, teaching First Grade (My mom was the 2nd grade teacher!). In 1996, I moved to Loudoun County and began teaching Kindergarten at Sanders Corner Elementary in Ashburn.......along with Mr. Pellegrino, who was teaching third grade at the time! In 1998, I moved to Lowes Island Elementary where I taught 5 years of Kindergarten and 3 years of First Grade. This is my 13th year at Evergreen Mill Elementary School. I live in Purcellville with my husband Paul, daughter Libby, son Carter, three cats, Percy, Fiona, Scarlett, and our pup, Annie.
