This year begins my 30th year of teaching elementary school!   I graduated from Longwood University with a B.S. in Education, and earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Shenandoah University. I began my career in Brunswick County, VA, teaching First Grade (My mom was the 2nd grade teacher at the time!).  In 1996, I moved to Loudoun County and began teaching Kindergarten at Sanders Corner Elementary in Ashburn, and in 1998, I moved to Lowes Island Elementary, where I taught 5 years of Kindergarten and 3 years of First Grade.  This is my 18th year at Evergreen Mill where I have taught 3rd grade for 9 years. I live in Purcellville with my husband Paul, son Carter, 2 cats and a dog.  My daughter Libby is a senior  at UNC Charlotte. I'm excited about working with a new group of students!
