    Let's Read!
My name is Patty Griffith.  This is my 28th  year as an educator!  I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 1989 with a dual B.A. in Elementary and Special Education.  This year marks my 21st year with Loudoun County Public Schools.  I am proud to say that I was a charter member of Evergreen Mill as both an educator and parent!  I have worked at Cool Spring Elementary and Creighton's Corner Elementary as well.  My varied background includes five years as a special education resource teacher, three years as a preschool teacher, and twenty years as an elementary teacher in Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.
I absolutely love to read!  Some of my favorite authors include Eric Carle, Cynthia Rylant, Mo Willems, Lauren Child, and Chris Van Ahlsburg.  I lived in Leesburg for 23 years.  Recently, my husband and I moved to Berryville with our dachshund, Buddy and granddog, Scarlet. Our daughter is a graduate of Christopher Newport University and currently lives in Leesburg.  She was recently married in April, 2018!  Our son is in management at Wegmans and is saving his pennies for his first place!  We enjoy soccer, football, gardening, and traveling as a family.
Looking forward to an awesome school year!
    Go Pythons!
