    Let's Read!
My name is Patty Griffith.  This is my 30th year as an educator!  I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 1989 with a dual B.A. in Elementary and Special Education.  This year marks my 23rd year with Loudoun County Public Schools.  I am proud to say that I was a charter member of Evergreen Mill as both an educator and parent!  I have worked at Cool Spring Elementary and Creighton's Corner Elementary as well.  My varied background includes five years as a special education resource teacher, three years as a preschool teacher, and twenty-two years as an elementary teacher in Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I absolutely love to read!  Some of my favorite authors include Eric Carle, Cynthia Rylant, Mo Willems, Lauren Child, and Kevin Henkes.
I lived in Leesburg for 23 years.  In fact, our children are Evergreen Mill alumni!  Almost five years ago, my husband and I moved to Berryville,VA. Our daughter (Mallory) currently lives in our old neighborhood in Leesburg with her husband (Michael), our new granddaughter (Reagan), and granddog (Sampson).  Mallory is an IT recruiter for Capital One. Our son (Sam) is a sales representative with Reston Limousine, and is saving his pennies for his first place. Our other granddog (Scarlet), lives with us as well.  Can you tell we are a dog-loving family? In fact, we adopted a funny little dachshund mix (Coco), just prior to the pandemic.  We have enjoyed lots of family time with the new baby, gardening, and hiking this summer!
Looking forward to an awesome school year!
    Go Pythons!
