Hi! My name is Michelle Nyhuis. I am the Instructional Facilitator of Technology (IFT) at Cedar Lane Elementary School. I began my teaching career in Arizona, teaching 6th grade. I then made the cross-country move to Virginia, where I started out teaching in the Gifted and Talented department in Fairfax County Public Schools. Once I had a family of my own, I wanted to be closer to my children, so I made the move to Loudoun County Public Schools. I have been teaching at Cedar Lane since 2008. It is a wonderful school with an incredible, joyous staff that loves working with students.
As the Instructional Facilitator of Technology, I team with teachers to support instruction by providing quality professional development for teachers, modeling effective strategies, and collaborating with teachers to develop engaging lessons. I focus on deepening learning to increase student engagement and foster the growth of lifelong learners.
