Welcome back!  This is my 16th year teaching in Loudoun and my 12th at Briar Woods and I'm so excited to be starting another school year with you!  I grew up on Long Island New York but graduated from Troy University in Alabama with my undergraduate degree in Spanish and French Education.  I moved to Loudoun and continued my education at George Mason University, where I obtained my Master's in Spanish Language and Linguistics.  I have been teaching AP Spanish for 14 years but have taught all levels.  I love traveling and dancing and spending time with my son, who is now 6 and starting first grade.

Last year was our inaugural Spanish class trip to Costa Rica, available to level 4, 5 and 6 students, and what an amazing experience it was, from all of the natural wonders we saw, to the invaluable homestay time that students had with their Costa Rican families, to starting out as strangers ending with a lifetime friend... encourage your student to give it a try this year as we head to Spain over Spring break.  And if your student isn't in level 4 yet, what a great incentive for them to stay and work on their language skills!  Any questions about the trip, do not hesitate to let me know.
