    Meet the Teachers
    Lisa Stogoski

Ms. Stogoski was born and raised in Ashburn, Virginia. She earned her BFA and Art Education Licensure from James Madison University. When she is not in the classroom, Ms. Stogoski enjoys relaxing with a good book, watching movies, listening to a wide variety of music. She also enjoys creating her very own mixed media artwork and exploring with new media, techniques, and ideas.

Ms. Stogoski is excited to create new experiences and artwork with her students!
Mrs. Wolfe has been teaching art for eight years at all levels. She has a Bachelor's in Fine Art with a Concentration in Ceramics and a Master's in Visual Art Education.
In her free time, she likes reading, watching cooking and baking shows, and of course creating art! She spends most of her art making time painting landscapes en plein air, or outdoors. She also enjoys playing soccer and running.

Emily is looking forward to meeting all her students this year and making some art with them!
Our Society is always changing...and will continue to change in ways we can't even begin to imagine! Education changes to reflect the demands of society, and to instill the necessary knowledge and skills that learners will need to be successful. Yet, as higher standards, increased testing/benchmarking, and accelerated curriculums become the norm...something is being lost. The one intangible that can set apart a student, or later in life a job applicant, from the rest is creativity. It is the ability to think, and to think from self inspiration that leads to TRUE INNOVATION! In this day and age of instant access, and accelerated knowledge acquisition...it is essential, and even more so critical, to acquire the ability to make connections and to SYNTHESIZE all of those seemingly separate pieces of information.
This is what ART EDUCATION does! The processes and thinking skills which are required to be successful in creating artwork, are the same processes that will define the next generation of successful working adults.
    Volunteers Wanted!
No Artistic Experience required! I'm looking for volunteers to help prepare basic materials, put up artwork around the school, and prepare for upcoming projects! Also, if you ARE artistically inclined I would love for you to come in and share your talent with the students! If interested please contact me at lisa.stogoski@lcps.org
