This is an important year filled with transitions, maturity and the acquisition of new skills. You will be amazed how much your child will grow this year. You will see changes in your child's thinking as they are exposed to more abstract concepts. Your child will blossom into a confident reader and writer. It is important to remember that every child's progress is developmental and occurs at different rates. All successes, small and large, are applauded. We encourage you to do the same at home.

Please read and write with your child as often as possible. The more your child is exposed to literature, the easier it will be for them to become readers and writers.
