• Dr. Beth Woodruff has been a Reading Specialist at Ashburn Elementary School for sixteen years.  Previously she taught preschool, first grade, third grade and college level students.  She received her bachelor's degree from Bridgewater College located in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  She received her master's degree in reading from Hood College located in Frederick , Maryland.  She recently received her doctorate degree in educational leadership with a concentration in reading from Shenandoah University. She is a member of the Virginia Education Research Association (VERA) and the International Reading Association (IRA).  She has presented her dissertation topic at the VERA conferences held in 2011 and 2012.  She has three children and lives in Leesburg, Virginia with her son and husband.  She is devoted to the continuation of learning and practicing strategies that will help all students!!
