This is Kate Conlon Lorin's 18th year teaching in Loudoun County.

Mrs. Lorin grew up in a small town in central Pennsylvania (near State College, home of Penn State University).  After growing up so close to Penn State, she decided to become a Nittany Lion.   Mrs. Lorin's undergraduate degree is in Individual and Family Studies with a focus on child development.  After graduating, she moved to New Jersey where she completed her teaching certification and taught kindergarten and third grade for 11 years.  After leaving New Jersey, Mrs. Lorin returned to Penn State and completed her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Following the completion of her Master's Degree, she worked for 5 years as an education consultant for a company similar to DreamBox.  Mrs. Lorin moved to Loudoun County in 2004 and taught 5th grade until she completed her certification to become a librarian.  She is very excited to work with all grade levels and help instill a love of reading into all students.

Mrs. Lorin's favorite things are books, concerts, theater, and anything that involves the beach.  She loves to travel, and read, she loves to spend time with family and friends.
