• English Teacher Felisa Cupps

    Ms. Cupps A Florida native, Ms. Cupps is a 1990 graduate of The University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Liberal Studies. In 1996, Ms. Cupps completed her Master of Arts in English Education with a concentration in grades six through twelve. She began her instructional career that same year as a middle school teacher in a small, private, Independent Day School. She continued her middle school experience in the inner city of Tampa and worked both in regular education and in a Health and Technology Magnet school before moving to Virginia in 1999.

    Since moving to Northern Virginia, Ms. Cupps has taught high school English at all levels with a concentration in the junior and senior years. The instruction of British and American literature, as well as AP Language and Composition, is a passion for Ms. Cupps and has been the focus. Moreover, Ms. Cupps is also a Northern Virginia Community College adjunct teaching Dual Enrollment English at Tuscarora.

    Ms. Cupps stays connected to her profession through conference attendance and membership in national and local associations such as National Council Teachers of English (NCTE) and VATE. She has been employed in Loudoun County since 2001 working at Potomac Falls and Heritage High School prior to joining the Tuscarora Huskies. Prior to working as an educational professional, Ms. Cupps hailed from the professional world in the areas of outside sales and management.

    Mrs. Cupps is the sponsor of the NEHS-Tuscarora Chapter and the Forensics (Public Speaking Team) Coach.
