    Hi,

I'm Dr. J. I love learning and thinking so much that I've earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, a Masters of Education degree in Reading, and a Ph.D. in Reading Education from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.

I've had the opportunity to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Reading Education at the University of Maryland, West Virginia University, Shenandoah University, and Shepherd College. Currently, I am Woodgrove High School's Literacy Specialist.

My goals at Woodgrove High School are to help students become aware of thinking and using their minds during learning, reading, writing, and studying. Most importantly, I strive to help teens enjoy personal reading and writing experiences.

Check out my Website for important reading and study tips. Print out the tips and use them during the school year. Also, check out the Battle of the Books event.

If you have any questions about thinking, learning, or written communication, I'll do my best to find the answers.
    Make it a great year!

    Sincerely,

    Dr. J. Haugh
