Mr. Scott Fortney

Mr. Fortney is entering his 33rd year of teaching and currently teaches Environmental Science and Geospatial (GIS) 1 and 2.  His experience includes having taught classes in Earth Science, Biology,  Physical Science, Integrated Science, Environmental Science, and Geospatial Science in West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia. Currently, Mr. Fortney is teaching Environmental Science. This is the 18th year for Mr. Fortney in Loudoun County Public Schools, which includes six years at Park View High School and one year at Loudoun Valley High School and has been at Woodgrove High School since it's opening. He has coaching experience in different capacities in the sports of wrestling and track and football and was the head wrestling coach for Woodgrove's first 8 years.  Mr. Fortney earned his B.S. degree in Secondary Education from West Virginia University and is holds certificates in Earth Science and Biology in Virginia.
