Degrees and Certifications:
Tabitha Duquette attended James Madison University and received a degree in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry. After college, she worked in a yeast genetics lab at Johns Hopkins University, then spent several years in the biotechnology industry. During that time, she discovered her love for teaching and went back to school at Marymount University for her Masters in Secondary Education. Mrs. Duquette taught AP Biology, Biology, and Earth Science as a long-term substitute before taking 5 years off to spend time raising her daughter, Cleo. During her hiatus from school, she tutored a variety of students in an array of subjects. Mrs. Duquette is very excited to be teaching 7th grade Life Science at Stone Hill for her twelfth year!
Mrs. Duquette loves providing a caring and challenging environment in which her students can succeed. For her, the most rewarding aspect of teaching is showing the students the “fun in learning” and encouraging them to exceed their own expectations.
