Hello Stingrays and Stingray families. This is assistant principal, Ed Chi and I am very eager and excited to serve the students, families, staff and community of Stone Hill Middle School for the 16-17 school year. I love working with middle school children and the adults who work with them. I have 17 total years of experience in middle school education. I taught 7th and 8th grade science in Brighton, New York for 7 years then moved to Loudoun County to help open Stone Hill Middle School and teach 6th grade science for 4 years. I was also Stone Hill Middle School’s 8th grade dean for 4 years before serving as an assistant principal at Seneca Ridge for two years. For the 2016-17 year, I will serve as Stone Hill’s administrative point of contact for the Rock Ridge High School annex.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and biology at SUNY Geneseo, a master’s degree in science education at New York University and a master’s degree in education leadership at George Mason University.
When I am not with my Stone Hill family, I enjoy being with my own. My wife and I are kept pretty busy with our rising 4th grader and rising preschooler. We take them on outdoor adventures and can play with Lego for hours.
I believe that learning is a community effort and we here at Stone Hill do everything it takes to ensure that students learn and are afforded every opportunity for success. I also believe in listening before speaking. Feel free to reach out to me via phone or email.
