     Al Bernstorf
     Social Science Teacher 

    Mr. Bernstorf is in his 37th year as a professional educator & 35th year as a classroom teacher.  He completed his undergraduate work at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. in 1979.  In the spring of 1988 Mr. Bernstorf received  his masters degree  from Virginia State University in Etterick, Va.  He is certified to teach social studies grades 6 through 12 and as a secondary school administrator.
         Mr. Bernstorf is a corporal in the New Jersey Light Infantry Company, an American Revolutionary War reenactment unit.  He has been active in this unit for 30+ years and has participated in reenactments from Massachusetts to South Carolina. 
        In his spare time Mr. Bernstorf likes to hunt and fish.  He also enjoys traveling around the United States with is wife and son.   Mr. Bernstorf has one son who graduated from SBHS in 2008 and Lycoming College in 2012.
