Salvete Omnes!Mihi nomen est Magistra Newell!Hello and welcome to Latin at Stone Bridge High School! My name is Laura B. Newell and I have been teaching Latin for 17 years. I am a Speech Language Pathology graduate of JMU with a Masters in Education from GMU. I am a curriculum leader for the development of all levels of the Latin curriculum for LCPS. Throughout my 16 years of teaching I have had the pleasure of traveling with students to Italy, Greece, France, and England to visit archaeological sites, museums, and fantastic Ancient Roman and Greeks territories. I am very excited to begin my 4th year at Stone Bridge! On this website you will find a link to the county-wide Latin syllabi and course descriptions for all levels, I-AP. You will also be able to click on your student's level of Latin and view all assignments, quizzes, tests, projects, class work and home work, current and coming. Simply click on the level of your student and peruse the pages for daily plans and events.Supplies needed for this year: 3-ring binder, 5 dividers (store-bought or otherwise created), loose leaf paper, blue/black pens or pencils to write with and a colored pen for corrections.
