Miss Dianne Cohen
Dianne Cohen is the Transition Teacher at Stone Bridge High School. She formerly worked as Learning Resource Specialist for the last 13 years at Stone Bridge High School. She received a B.A. from The American University and a M.Ed. from George Mason University. Ms. Cohen is available to meet by appointment.
For the 2019-2020 school year, she will be meeting with students on a regular basis through their study halls. She links students with adult service agencies and pre/post secondary employment and training opportunities (i.e situational and career assesments, vocational/technical education, apprenticeships, internships and college supports). Miss Cohen is the point of contact for referrals to the Department of Rehabilitaion Services (DARS), the Community Services Board (CSB), the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program (WIOA), the Communities and Schools Together program (CAST), Project Search, and the Wilson Workforce and and Rehabiltion Center (WWRC). Miss Cohen works with a Job Coach ( Elizabeth Chartuck) to secure jobs and support students participating in work experience as part of their high school curriculum.
