Functional Life Skills are skills that students need to help them in reaching their individual potential in becoming as independent as possible. Skills include, but are not limited to, time and money management, organization, social skills, personal care and independent living skills. This class is also supplemented through Community Independence Instruction where once a week we go out into the community and explore job and leisure skills that they will use in their every day lives. Allison will be co-teaching with Samantha Most, who will be your child's functional academics teacher for the core content subjects of language arts and history. They will be co-teaching CII and Functional Life Skills with Mark Russell. They are also joined by their amazing instructional assistants, Annie Saleem and Karen Schray.
