Bachelors Degree in Psychology Masters in Teaching Administrative Leadership Degree

Mrs. Juliet Finnegan

Mrs. Finnegan is excited to continue her journey in education at Sterling Middle School this 2020-2021 school year as an Assistant Principal. This will be her 17th year in education, with the first 5 years teaching in Fairfax County and the remaining years teaching Math in Sterling Middle School and as a Dean. Go, Pioneers!

She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and her Master's Degree in Teaching from The University of Virginia. She has completed and received her Administrative Leadership Degree last Spring.

Prior to being an Assistant Principal, Mrs. Finnegan started her career in education as a 5th-grade teacher for 4 years and a middle school math teacher for 1 year in Fairfax County. After having her 2 children, she moved to Loudoun County Public Schools where she continued teaching Math for 8 years and being a Dean for 3 years.

In addition to being an educator, she is a wife to a fun-loving and supportive husband and a mom to 2 spirited and adventurous children. Her favorite vacation spot is the Outer Banks. One of her latest passions is Crossfit!

For Mrs. Finnegan, it is a privilege to watch the students grow to be 21st-century learners and continue their journey in being problem solvers, communicators, and contributors connected to their community through authentic experiences. She believes that with empathy, care, and inclusive practices, and a growth mindset the sky is the limit!   Mrs. Finnegan looks forward to the experiences and relationships she will develop this year as an Assistant Principal to the best students and community in LCPS.
