The Language Arts program is aligned with the Virginia SOLs and is designed to help students develop critical thinking skills, develop a literary background, read challenging literature, learn grammar, usage, spelling and mechanics through the writing process, develop skills in the use of electronic technology and practice oral communication skills. The middle school offers academic and honors level Language Arts. Students in 6th grade have Language Arts daily (2 blocks). Click here for a more detailed description of the Language Arts program.
