Mavericks,
Our Get Smart Virtual 5K & Fun Run Challenge kicked off today, and we are thrilled about this year’s program! This event, which runs from April 23 to May 4, 2021, is an important annual fundraiser for Smart’s Mill. This year, we’ve asked the experts at Boosterthon to help make our fundraising simpler, more profitable, and more fun.
We are inviting everyone in our school community to help us raise funds for programs promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our goal is to raise $5000. If you’d like to, we are inviting YOU to help!
Here’s how you can support Smart's Mill Middle School:
-
Register for the Get Smart Virtual 5K and complete it by May 4, 2021 to compete for a trophy or medals in your age bracket. This event is open to everyone! You’ll also receive a race T-shirt and entry in the 5K raffle. The individual entry fee for the 5K is $25 and $15 for each additional family member.
-
Smart’s Mill students are invited to participate in the Get Smart Fun Run Challenge and commit to run one mile or more before May 4, 2021. Register with Boosterthon (www.funrun.com) and invite family members and friends to sponsor your student in the Fun Run Challenge. Registration is free and students who raise funds will earn chances to win prizes in our Fun Run raffles. The more they raise, the more chances to win prizes and gift cards! Students attending school in the building will be able to complete the Fun Run Challenge during PE class; distance learning students can complete one or more miles on a route of their choosing.
-
Whether your student is competing in the Get Smart 5K or participating in the Fun Run Challenge, register them on FUNRUN.COM to make getting sponsors a breeze! Go to www.funrun.com and search for Smart’s Mill Middle School or enter the registration code 194964. Then, use FUNRUN.COM to log donations for your student(s). Reach out to family and friends by sharing your Student’s Pledge Page.
With FUNRUN.COM's smart sharing tools, reaching out to sponsors is easier than ever. The easiest way to get donations is to simply click the Facebook share button on your student’s pledge page. With a few clicks you can also create a custom Student Star Video to share on social media. You can also use the Easy Emailer to connect with friends and family.
As you gather donations, be sure to record each sponsor’s e-mail address so they have the opportunity to easily pay for your student’s pledge online via credit card.
Please contact us at smmsvapta+GetSmart5K@gmail.com if you have any questions.
Regardless of financial participation, thank you for supporting our school!
Sincerely,
Smart's Mill Middle School PTA
