• Principal’s Message

    Greetings to our 2017-2018 Thunderbolts!

On behalf of the Seneca Ridge Middle School staff I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new and returning students and families.  After one week on the job, I can tell you we have a number of facets firing on all cylinders.  Our PTO, led by Natalie Earley, has demonstrated tremendous support for our staff by volunteering and supporting us at multiple times during our opening activities.   Our staff is enthusiastically and diligently preparing for our students to begin on August 24th.  The building was packed on Saturday and Sunday by teachers who were putting the finishing touches on their rooms.  We had a great turnout from families for both the eclipse viewing and Thunder Day on Tuesday.  The outpouring of support and engagement from the entire community is inspiring!

We are excited this year to venture into the world of Personalized Learning, which is a push to individualize and differentiate instruction.  As we strive to meet the needs of each student, we will look to incorporate a number of tools, which includes but is not limited to an increase in devices that students will have access to during the school day.  Don’t forget to ask your child about Personalized Learning and what that looks like in the classroom.  Your feedback is always welcomed and valued.

    Go Thunderbolts!
