Welcome to the Mu Alpha Theta web page for PFHS. Mu Alpha Theta is a national mathematics honor society.  PFHS began its charter of Mu Alpha Theta in the 2008-2009 school year. Information on the national organization can be found at www.mualphatheta.org.

Don't forget to sign up for Remind and to join our Schoology group. (Check your school email for code and invitation.)

Please be sure to read our Bylaws and do not hesitate to let a sponsor know if you have any questions.

    All members:
    • Dues are $25.  Make checks payable to PFHS and include "<your name> dues" in the memo line of the check.  If you are paying with cash, please ensure your name is attached to the money and place it in an envelope so it gets credited correctly.  Please give the check (or cash) and completed order form to Ms. Toms in room 142 or Mrs. Wright in room 141.
    • Hour logs will be in a folder on the MAT bulletin board and on the Mu Alpha Theta website.
    • Tutors - Be aggressive in seeking out those who need help during CORE or Homework Club.  Don't wait for people to come to you, find them and help them.   Always uphold the integrity and dignity of an honor student and show by your example that math can be easier and more fun.  Your positive, cheerful attitude will go a long way to convince other students that math is not that difficult and that it can actually be fun and enjoyable.
