Mrs. McGonegal

My name is Elizabeth McGonegal, and I am so excited about being at Arcola this year! This is my third year with LCPS, my first at Arcola.  I live in Warrenton, VA with my husband Tim, my son Andrew, who is 20, and my daughter Natalie, who is 18.  They both attend Laurel Ridge Community College. We also have two dogs, Chip and Leo. My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education, and my master’s is in Special Education. Both are from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. I have been a resource teacher, (Sp.Ed.) for 9 years, a general ed. 4^th grade teacher for 4 years, and an advisor for an online school for 3 years. I was also a stay-at-home mom for 8 years when my children were little.

I love to spend time with my family outdoors.  We love to hike, ride bikes, swim, ski, and kayak.  A few passions of mine are reading books, doing puzzles, and cooking.                                                     

I look forward to getting to know the students and their families and will do everything I can to make this school year be a successful one!
