Degrees and Certifications:
Hello, DTES community! I'm thrilled to introduce myself as a dedicated member of the teaching team here at our school. My journey in education has been a rewarding one, and I'm excited to share a bit about myself with you.
For over six years, I had the incredible privilege of serving as a volunteer assistant teacher at an elementary school within the LCPS district. This experience ignited my passion for working with children and fostering their growth. Subsequently, I spent two years teaching at an early childhood education institution, honing my skills, and deepening my understanding of young learners.
Currently, I'm in my second year of working within the special education program, a realm that truly resonates with me. As a lifelong learner, I am pursuing a master's degree in special education, continuously expanding my knowledge to better support our students.
My personal life is rich with experiences that enrich my teaching approach. Having lived in Ashburn for over a decade with my wonderful husband and two children, I am deeply connected to this vibrant community. In my free time, I relish family travels, creating cherished memories as we explore new places. Hiking and reading are my passions, activities I love sharing with my own kids.
I believe that each child is a unique individual, deserving of an education tailored to their distinct needs. My commitment is to provide a nurturing, respectful, and loving environment that empowers our students to flourish. I'm dedicated to not only teaching but also advocating for our children, assisting them in realizing their full potential as invaluable members of our community.
I'm eagerly looking forward to the upcoming school year, where we will journey together, learn from one another, and create a classroom environment that fosters growth, kindness, and achievement. Thank you for entrusting me with the privilege of being a part of your child's educational journey.
