Brett Katz

Hello! My name is Brett Katz and this is my first year teaching at Potomac Falls. I graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education with minors in history and political science. I grew up in the Philadelphia area before moving to Virginia, and as a result I’m a passionate fan of all my Philly sports teams! Aside from watching sports, I’ve grown up playing sports my whole life and continue to play basketball, golf, tennis, and soccer in my free time. I’m also a foodie who loves to cook for myself and find the best restaurants, so I’m looking forward to all the recommendations from my students and their parents!

My philosophy of education is to give every student the greatest opportunity to succeed to their fullest potential. Not only as an academic student, but my goal as a teacher is to help students grow as human beings that can ultimately make meaningful contributions in their futures.
