Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Arts and Technology Education Master's of Arts in Special Education
Mr. Larry N. Williams
I am excited to start my first year as a pack member at Trailside Middle! I will be teaching the 7th grade Project Lead the Way classes and the 8th Grade Technology Education classes. I come with 32 years of experience as a middle school Technology Education teacher. My projects promote hands-on, minds-on learning, and creative problem solving. The curriculum also helps students with career readiness. I pride myself in the safety of my work environment and maintain high expectations for students in the workshop. I believe that using tools and equipment is an essential skill for students to learn as they develop into young adults. I have a bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts and Technology Education, specializing in wood technology and construction technology. I also earned my master's in Special Education at WVU.
In my spare time, I can be found on my boat, catching fish or in my shop turning on the lathe. I also enjoy hunting, reading, and camping. I look forward to working with my students to create meaningful projects as they learn woodworking skills and even find an interest they didn't know they had. Please feel free to contact me with any questions- larry.williams@lcps.org
