Mr. David Fye

This is Mr. Fye's first year teaching at Trailside Middle School and he is excited to work with the incredible students and staff here!

Previously, he taught in Alexandria City Public Schools in his hometown of Alexandria, VA where he served as band director at Francis Hammond Middle School, and percussion instructor of the fall and winter marching programs at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.

This year he will be working at Trailside MS, Stone Hill MS, and with the marching band program at Rock Ridge High School.

Mr. Fye received his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from East Carolina University where he performed with the wind ensemble, symphony orchestra, percussion ensemble, and Marching Pirates. While there he studied under Mark Ford and Jonathan Wacker.

Other notable ensembles he has performed with include Carolina Crown and the Santa Clara Vanguard in DCI and Carolina Thunder in WGI.

Mr. Fye resides in Ashburn with his wife, 7-year old daughter, and maltipoo puppy, Peanut. When he isn't teaching, Mr. Fye loves to cook!
