Mrs. Burgess is excited to be working at River Bend as an English Language (EL) Teacher!

Mrs. Burgess is a “Double Duke,” receiving both her Bachelors and Masters degree from James Madison University.  Mrs. Burgess began her teaching career at LCPS in 2014, as an elementary school teacher, working in grades 3rd and 5th.  In 2023, Mrs. Burgess started working at River Bend Middle School as an EL teacher.

Mrs. Burgess is not only a teacher at River Bend, she also lives in the community with her husband, her son, and her dog.  In her free time, Mrs. Burgess loves walking her dog, traveling to the beach with her family, reading, trying out new restaurants, and attending Washington DC Sporting Events.
