Mrs. M.J. Ridzik

Hello Labs! Welcome to 5th Grade!  My name is MJ Ridzik and I am so excited to rejoin the Legacy Family! This will be my 10th year teaching in Loudoun County. I had the privilege to teach for 8 years at Legacy before taking a few years off to stay home with my daughter, and I couldn’t be happier to be back here serving this amazing community! I have taught 2nd, 4th and 5th grade.   

I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Communications before receiving my teaching license from the University of Phoenix.  

I live in Broadlands with my husband and daughter, Emme, who is starting kindergarten as a new Lab this year! When I am not at school I enjoy traveling, yoga, cheering on the Washington Capitals, gardening, painting, reading books and hanging out with family and friends.  

As a passionate teacher, I am committed to creating a positive learning environment that will encourage my students to feel safe, loved and will engage their curiosities to learning new things. I believe we all learn so much from one another. I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students and their families as we work together to make this a fantastic year at Legacy!
