Mr. JD Maxey

Hello Mavericks! My name is Mr. Maxey and I will be teaching 6-8 grade choir and music lab for the 2023-24 school year.

I am currently living in Brambleton after moving all the way from Lawrence, Kansas. I attended the University of Kansas, Rock Chalk, and graduated in the spring 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. 

This is my first year here at Smart's Mill and my first year as a teacher at all! I am so excited to be working, learning, and singing with everyone this year!
