Mr. Gregory Olcott

Hello Lightning!

My name is Greg Olcott and I am super excited to join Lightridge High School this year! I am originally from Upstate New York and went to undergrad at SUNY University at Buffalo. After graduating, I moved abroad to teach English for a year in Barcelona. After teaching, I moved back and relocated to Maryland where my family lives. While working in special education, I got my master’s from Johns Hopkins in school counseling. I began counseling in Montgomery County Public Schools and then moved to Fairfax County. I worked at McLean High School in FCPS for seven years before making the move to Loudoun County. This is my twelfth year as a school counselor, and I am excited to be here at Lightridge!

I live in Leesburg with my wife, two daughters, and dog. I love being outside with them and spending as much time as possible with family. I look forward to working at Lightridge and am excited for this new chapter in my life. Never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
