About Me
I began my career as a freelance photographer, working in the Washington D.C. area after graduating from George Washington University.  I later worked for fourteen years as a photo editor for Reed Elsevier Publishing before deciding to pursue teaching as a full time career in 2003. Before coming to Park View I taught at Broad Run and Dominion High Schools for 1 year and taught 7th grade art at Simpson Middle School.
I enjoy fiddling around in my garden, photography, travel, collecting architectural salvage and all things vintage and taking up company with my 10-year old retired racing greyhound, Gage who likes to sleep away most of his retirement.
My Educational Background
B.A. Photography and Fine Arts, George Washington University, Washington D.C.
Graduate of the School of Education and Human Development, George Washington University, Washington D.C.
Masters of Interdisciplinary Art, painting and mixed-media, Virginia Commonwealth University.
I am an active member of the National Art Education Association and the Virginia Art Education Association.
