Mrs. Christine Barr

I am so excited to be joining the 3rd grade team at Catoctin! This is my 21st year of teaching, and I have experience teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, as well as, Special Education.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education, and a Master’s Degree in Reading. 

I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, but currently live in Winchester, VA with my husband, Kevin, and our 4 boys who range in age from 19-12. We also have a house full of animals: 3 dogs, 2 sugar gliders, a parrot and a snake! 

Life is busy with 4 boys, so you can usually find me watching one of their sporting events. We also like to watch Sunday football rooting for our favorite team, The Pittsburgh Steelers. If I have any quiet time, I am usually lost in a good book.
