I am very excited to be a part of the Potowmack Family! As a Health and Physical Education teacher, I love sharing my passion for finding joy through movement with students.

I was born and raised in Texas but have been a Virginia resident since 2006. I love all things outdoors. I enjoy hiking, camping, going to the beach, walking my dog Archie and cycling. I love the outdoors so much that I have made my home as green as possible with my houseplants (I have over 45!). I am an avid yogi and love sharing my passion for yoga with others. I also teach Zumba and indoor cycling at LifeTime Fitness. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my four children and my husband, Scott. As a family, we have lived in both Russia and Poland (did I mention I love warm weather climates?) allowing us to explore parts of Europe. 

I enjoy getting to know my students in PE! I believe that my job is to share my love for fitness and healthy living, but most importantly, I want to provide students with the opportunity to learn and practice skills that will give them the confidence to pursue activities that will bring them joy throughout their lives.
