Mr. Joseph Funkhouser

Hello everyone! 

I am Mr. Joseph Funkhouser. This is my first year at Trailside Middle School and my first year with Loudoun County Public Schools. The last two years I taught in Manassas Park and prior to that I taught in Harrisonburg City. 

I graduated from James Madison University with my Bachelors in History and my Masters in Teaching. I have a passion for learning and want to share that passion with my students to encourage a love of lifelong learning.

Outside of the classroom, I like to pursue my passions in gaming, hanging out with friends and family, and watching movies and shows.
